If you’ve ever emailed Rolla Skate Club with a question about a Rolla class or an online membership then you’ve probably already met Brady aka Goldie Lox & Bagel.

Brady is our current “Director of Customer Happiness” which means that she answers every email, every text and every facebook message and helps our people find the answers to their questions.  And she’ll be the face you see when you first step foot inside Rolla Skate Club Vancouver.

She joined Rolla in the Spring of 2020 – freshly returned from a few years travelling around Australia. Although she had never put on a pair of rollerskates before, her kind and welcoming nature combined with her love for this unique community made her a great fit for the Rolla Team.  And of course we got her rolling pretty soon 🙂

Sadly Brady is headed back to the land of sun and surf, but before she rolls out the door we sat down with her to find out a bit more about what makes Brady tick.

Where are you from? I was born right here in Vancouver BC but have lived in both Montreal and Sydney before coming back here in 2019.

What’s the best thing about working at Rolla Skate Club? I love getting to know each and every one of our lovely members – I feel lucky to be able to help them get in the door every week and make their membership dreams happen 🙂

When did you start rollerskating? As soon as I started working at Rolla I bought my first pair of skates!

What do you love the most about rollerskating? Rollerskating has helped me feel comfortable in my own skin. Truthfully I’ve never had a proper hobby so having something to chip away at and work on makes me feel strong and capable.

What’s your favorite skating move right now? Working on my dribble!

What is your skate set up? White Sure Grip Urban Rollers with periwinkle laces and black Riva wheels!

Tell us something random and non-rollerskating about you.  I collect stationery (postcards, pens, paper) and send letters to friends all over the world!

What’s on your nightstand/TV?  I’m such a scaredy cat but a sucker for anything true crime-y!
